This area features good schools that enjoy strong support from parents, successful housing developments, a low crime rate, golf courses, parks and country clubs. El Dorado Hills homes range from rural acreage to up-scale homes in town and is comprised predominantly of newer homes and country estates. In the hills, the temperature runs about 10 degrees cooler than in the valley. Residents are above the fog line, and sometimes even see snow in the winter.
